From his owner Bonjie Militante
Our family is so grateful to have Spirit.
The first time we saw him we were surprised
how beautiful he was. He captivates you with
his presence. Standing beside him will
make you feel good and proud because of his
loving, kind and sensitive nature. Everyone
that sees him will stop, look and watch him
with whatever he is doing. Everyone wants to
own him including all his trainers. We call
him the golden boy because when he sheds his
winter coat, he has an amazing color that will
make anyone’s jaw drop. And when he moves it’s
spectacular and breathtaking. Therese and
Spirit are a perfect match and it is just a
matter of time when they will show the world
how great they will be.

Spirit’s training started Jan. 2006. For six months he was
ground trained. On August 2006 Therese started Spirit under saddle
with the close supervision of the trainer. Even though when she
first rode Spirit, he buck a little, but he has been taking care of
Therese all the way since then. They immediately bonded
together with no issues at all. Spirit’s training is five times a
week and he knows voice command. You can tell him to walk,
trot, and canter and he will do it right away. He spends a lot of
time with his buddies in the pasture were he can play and relax.
Therese can call him out from the pasture to get into his stall and
he will just do it. You don’t have to chase him, pretty cool
ha..... He is very intelligent. He will be trained higher level
dressage and high school.
Along the way there will be challenges, trials and pains but it will
make them a great pair.
Therese is 17 years old. She has been riding for seven years and
accomplished regional titles and national championship titles. She
believes that it’s not just how good a horse or rider is but the
relationship between them shows their abilities as partners.
She strives to take each step slowly and precisely to reach her
goals of learning classical dressage.
