Gozo de Plata's dam, Quizas was imported from Spain and was bred and branded by the Cardenas Stud. Senor Cardenas has been awarded Best Breeder of the year more than any other breeding in Spain. Cardenas bred several of his mares to Leviton, a military stallion, thus, since Gozo de Plata is a grandsonof Leviton on his top side, he represents the same breeding choice as this master breeder. Gozo de Plata is: Half brother to several National Champions in Spain, including 2 of the Lot-of-3 mares in 1991 and Nevado and Paraguayo, the team that won the 1991 Carriage Dressage Championship. A grandson of the renowned Vasallo II, Reserve Champion of Spain, sire of a Reserve Champion Mare of Spain (Joya), and the IALHA poster horse. He is featured in several of Robert Vavara's books including the cover of one. A grandson of the legendary Leviton, sire of many National Champions of Spain including the famous Evento. Son of Quizas who is a rare imported Cardenas mare, half sister to Joya, Reserve Champion Mare of Spain. Crossed three times to Bilbaino III(Spain), the Cardenas foundation stallion. His stellar pedigree aslo includes such stars as Novato, and the famous bays Maluso, Juglar and Agente. |
